Good experience

POSITIVES:
1) Ordering process was very smooth, simple & user-friendly.
2) I liked that the driver called to inform me that he would be arriving in 5-10 minutes.
3) Cold foods were kept at appropriate temperatures.
4) Appreciated that like-items were bagged accordingly.

NEGATIVES:
1) Found prices to be high.
2) Wasn't impressed with produce picked for my order (berries particularly).
3) Cannot place order & have it delivered within a 24-hour time window.

OVERALL:
Experience wasn't terrible, but it probably won't be something I use again.

Absolutely amazing

I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to try this service (I received a discount voucher). Website was very user friendly, super convenient and easy to find items. Assortment is great, though I would love to see it expanded (adding more household items and overall bigger selection in terms of more brands). I loved how easy was to book a slot. They offer delivery as early as 6am. On the day of delivery I saw cute Voila small truck. It’s definitely a plus. Driver called me before delivery, and when he was outside. Driver was very polite and professional and offered to help me to carry items (I had a lot of bags).
As a parent and also as a person without a car this service was super easy to use and just for me. Produce was super fresh. The only thing maybe I would love a bit smaller delivery fee. Or something like subscription for regular customers to lower it a bit. Because I prefer to buy fresh produce every week, so it’s kinda adds up. But it saves so much nerves, that I will definitely use it again, maybe not every week (only because of delivery fee)

Great service!

I got to try the new viola grocery delivery service from sobeys, with a discount from chick advisor. This service was so easy to use. I did my grocery shopping while my baby napped! The website was easy to use and had many of the items I need for the week and a lot of it was on sale too! The down side was that I wasn't able to get tomatoes or bananas. I loved how I got to choose my time slot and that it came on time! The driver called me 10 minutes to 1 to say he would arrive soon and to make sure I was home before he started unpacking my groceries. I really appreciated that as I had frozen items in my order that would spoil in the heat. Everything was in my order and fresh. I would totally recommend this grocery delivery service

Ultra Convenient

This a great option. With this service, you get your groceries from a depot - not the regular grocery store. That is so helpful now that we're thinking about safety more. The quality of food at Sobeys is amazing so - don't worry about that. They have the cutest delivery trucks - Bonus. #gotitfree

Much better than the alternatives

I did my first online order yesterday because we wanted to get a picture of a grocery haul for the campaign we are currently running. I am a long time online grocery shopper. I've used Grocery Gateway and Insta Cart quite a bit so I have something to compare this to.

Voila is by far the best user experience so far. Their search function works better and I found it easier to locate the items I wanted compared to Grocery Gateway. It's a lot less expensive than Insta Cart and you actually get the items you ordered. Using Insta Cart during the pandemic meant we were spending a lot on delivery and tips and then getting items that were wrong. For example, we'd order gluten free bread because I am celiac and they'd show up with regular bread.

Another thing that was great was that I placed the order last night and had my groceries by 10am this morning. Everything was fresh and exactly as I'd ordered, no weird substitutions. I also thought the delivery fee of $7.99 was great. Much cheaper than the others. And they carry Farm Boy! That was very exciting to see. I love Farm Boy products so ordered a bunch of those. The only thing that seemed to be missing was their Pico de Gallo, which I hope they will get in stock.

We will definitely continue using this service.

Sobey’s Voila proves to be superb grocery service

I used Voila as I returned from vacation and knew I’d have no time to shop. Shopping online was easy to navigate through the selection was wide. Grocery delivery time slots were abundant and flexible. I was given the opportunity to order through the Chick Advisor Product Review club where I received a discount off my groceries. I wasn’t paid to take part.
Groceries were respectively bagged - nothing squished! Food was still cold and produce fresh! My delivery guy called and was courteous and placed my groceries neatly on my porch as requested.
I’ll be using voila again for sure.

I have never used online/delivery for grocery shopping so I was excited to give this a try.

I found the web site to be very clean and user friendly. It was easy to find the items and add them to the shopping cart. I really liked that you can mark items as favourite which is handy for the items you purchase often.

The only issue I had was that they did not have about 7 items that I had on my shopping list, but I found out from one of the delivery people that the site only posts what they have in stock; I did take a look today and see they now have some of the items I was looking for. So this is actually a plus in that you know if you don't see it they don't have it, which is better then ordering it and then not getting it or getting a substitute.

Other positives:
- Received a friendly call when the delivery was about 10 minutes away.
- They temperature check the cold items before handing them over. They shut the truck door when doing this to keep out the heat.
- The cold bags are marked differently
- I really liked that the chicken was in it's own bag.
- When the delivery arrived the staff sanitized their hands then put on gloves and mask
- Super friendly and informative staff.
- The items come from the warehouse and is done by robots, not staff in a grocery store.
- Everything was very fresh with great best before dates

Cons:
- I found that for some categories they didn't have much selection (mostly for meat)
- The delivery fee is $7.99

Would I use this again? Yes, but only if I was able to get enough items on sale to make the delivery fee worth it.

Too many hassles in ordering

I live near a Sobeys store and I end up shopping from there at least once a week. I was excited to see an option to try out online delivery using a discount coupon. However, I was rather disappointed with the entire process. First, the options for items is very limited online versus offline. I couldn't find a lot of products I was looking for (note that I am able to find these at the store). Second, the delivery charges were quite high. Third, I was not able to use the code. I decided to not go ahead with the order.
While I shall continue to shop from Sobeys physically, I am not sure I'd try the online delivery again.

Groceries delivered to my door!

This was my first time using Voilà Grocery delivery by Sobey’s #VoilabySobeys however I’ve shopped in store before.
I found that they have an app as well as their website to shop from. Although I’ve gotten used to shopping online with a competitor I found their app and website very user friendly.
Unlike a competitor they will tell you right away if an item is not available for the time slot you’ve chosen. This gives you the chance to choose your own alternative rather than have something you don’t want substituted. And I also had a chance to edit my order prior to delivery as a couple of items did become available in the meantime. I was very pleased with the quality of my meat and produce. The prices weren’t inflated because it’s a delivery service and the delivery charge seems reasonable. The delivery people were polite and on time and brought my groceries right to my apartment door. Also pleased they were wearing masks properly. I got a discount on this first time service through #chickadvisor but $7.99 is an acceptable delivery charge considering I don’t have to leave my home. The only thing they didn’t do is put the groceries in the fridge! Very happy with this service. Will recommend and use again!

Voilà is the perfect name!

I’ve been hearing the radio ads for #VoilàBySobeys so I was delighted to learn I could test them out.
The website was awesome, my desired timeslot was available and easy to find. The items were sorted by aisles and searchable as well. The regular prices were a little high but the sales were great. I usually prefer to shop for groceries in person since I’m quite picky with my produce and meats, but everything I received was perfect.
I really appreciated the courtesy phone call before delivery, especially since my house can be hard to find. The delivery person was very friendly and showed me which bags needed to be refrigerated.
I have already recommended Voilà to my friends in the area and I’ll use them again!
