I absolutely love this makeup. I'm not big into makeup, so it's amazing to have a product that has the right colours for your specific eye colour. It's easy to use and goes on great.

Firstly, I really like how all of almay's products are hypoallergenic. I think these are quite pigmented, I like how soft and pretty the colors are. They don't last a whole day on my oily eyelids, but fare better with primer. I think this is a great trio for everyday, because of the neutrals. I would prefer some mattes, but the dark brown color is dark enough.

This eyeshadow set gives great color payoff. I really like the highlighting shadow for the brow bone. The brown is a nice, natural color and the lavender is a subtle purple which I like. The colors go well together. The shadow applicator is easy to use. The staying power is good too. Great product for the price.

The Almay Intense I-Color Powder Shadow (001 Trio for Browns) comes with three eye-shadows - a purple for all-over lid colour, a deep brown for the crease, and a light champagne colour as a highlighter. The combination of these colours has the intended purpose of intensifying brown coloured eyes.

The eye-shadows have an almost creamy soft consistency and has a satin finish once applied. I found that the applicator provided does not do a good job of packing on the shadow and I have to use my own eyeshadow brush. The brown and champagne colours were very pigmented, highly blendable, and applied on smoothly. The champagne eyeshadow works beautifully as a highlighter colour.

The purple eyeshadow, on the other hand, was very chalky and did not apply on as smoothly as the other two. It is not very pigmented nor is it buildable. No matter how much eyeshadow I used, it was still not very vibrant even when a base was applied.

Instructions are given on how to apply the shadows on the packaging so this eyeshadow trio would be good for someone who is a beginner to make-up and is still learning what colours might go well together. I don't know if it lives up to the claim of intensifying your eye colour however.

I find this product to be average. I would buy it again just for the brown and champagne eyeshadow but I could do without the purple.
