An absolute staple in the makeup community for years mac paint pots deliver the best results you can ask for however you pay for the name. Which in my opinion isn’t as worth it as you would expect but still a good overall product

Good but thick

I used to use that concealer however it is very thick so can come off Cakey. It’s not s good look for day time. I used to use it sometimes to cut my crease in my eyeshadow

Mac paint pot painterly

After so many positive youtube reviews, I thought
I would purchase this...overhyped for sure. I wanted it as an eyeshadow base but it was too dark for me and showed all my fine lines. Save your money and get the Essence eyeshadow base for 5 bucks at Shoppers Drug Mart..its so much better.

I think most use MAC paint pots as eyeshadow primers or as a base for other shadows. Honestly I just use them as eyeshadows and I quite like them. My favorites for a quick wash of colour on the lid are Bare Study and Rubenesque. They last all day and do not crease. On a negative note though, they do tend to dry out and pull away from the sides of the jar. This can make them apply very patchy. I remedy this by re-mixing the shadow with a metal spatula after spraying a tiny amount of MAC fix plus into the paint pot.

I have to say that this is a product that I can't live without. I have gone threw so many jars of this I have lost count. I have gone and tried other products that are supposed to do the same but they never live up to mac. I have to say that the application is easy and it last on the lid along time. It makes my shadow last longer and it make cheaper shadows last longer also. You don't need a lot of the product and has a creamy consistency. There is a good color selection and I would not put on shadow without mac paint underneath it. I would highly recommend this product and of coarse mac is a higher priced but this one is worth it.

This product is one of my must haves! It acts like a concealer for my eyelids. It is a good eyeshadow base but it can crease a little bit when worn alone.

I've been using MAC Paint Pots as a base for my eyeshadow for years, and it's hard to imagine what I did before these were around!

They make the perfect primer for eyeshadow. I simply apply to my eyelid with my finger, blend it out and continue with my eyeshadow application over top. Painterly is my favourite for evening out my skintone and hiding any redness or veins on my lids.

You'll be amazed how much longer your shadows will last, not to mention how much more vibrant your whole look will be.

The great thing about these is that they come in a wide range of shades. These can be worn on their own as well for those days you're in a rush and want to add a wash of colour on your lids.

I use this as a primer and an eyeshadow. This stuff sticks and will last all day. THANK YOU MAC!!! But for the love of God please lower your prices!
