If I could get a bag of just black current fruit pastilles, that would be what I would have instead. It was such a unique flavour that I actually anticipated getting a purple (instead of dreading it, thinking that it would be grape.) Nice crunchy sugar exterior that imparted sweetness, but no other taste that gave way to a sweet and soft interior. Authentic fruity taste from the juice. They were like jelly tots - just larger. I suppose that I had enjoyed the larger ratio of jelly to sugar crust here than I did with the tots.
