I went to Aliviar Spa with some chicks the day after the Queen Street Shop Crawl (#2) for a Swedish massage. An hour later, I slithered out of the room and melted into the car in a scented buzz that lasted for hours. I expected a therapeutic massage (vs a relaxing massage) and I got both. It's been about a year or so since my last massage and there was hard work to be done. My masseuse got all the knots out without leaving me feeling pummeled, and it was possibly the best massage I have ever had.

The spa itself is more simply decorated than what I've seen elsewhere, but they offer a full range of services using only organic and vegan products. I was surprised to see on their website that they offer "Mom & Baby" services Mon-Fri from 10-3. I have no idea what that includes, but I think it's a fabulous idea long overdue. I will certainly consider coming back next time I'm in Toronto!
