I come here for a swedish massage a couple of times a year and I'm usually happy with what I get.

After the renovation that Elmwood Spa recently completed - it appears nicer (at least for the Women's changeroom), but the service hasn't changed much. They have great lockers with combination codes you can choose on your own. They now have a nice jacuzzi in the women's changeroom, but it automatically turns off after about 15 minutes - which could be annoying if you have to climb out to turn it back on again. The massage is nice and you get apples and tea/water (included with your massage/water therapy purchase)

The pool deck is outdated, but all in all, I would say it's slightly overpriced for what you get. You leave feeling great, but you don't feel likek they doted on you.

It's about $100 for a 50 minute massage and it includes water therapies (steam room, jacuzzi, hot tub, etc).

For three hours today I was relaxed and pampered at the Elmwood Spa. It was my first visit to the Elmwood Spa since their renovation. When you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff and a nice warm towel. On each floor there are staff to greet you. When you want to get away and be stress free, the best thing to do is to go on vacation. If you don't have the time or money to go on a vacation the second best thing to do is to go the spa where someone else will look after your needs. I experienced the Serenity Spa retreat which included a manicure, pedicure, light lunch and water therapies. This is only my second pedicure. The first pedicure was years ago also at the Elmwood Spa, so I am not able to compare it to other experiences. I was hoping for a more relaxing massage. That was the whole point of getting the pedicure because my feet are so tired. I do not get manicures as I do not want to ruin my nails when I was dishes. This was my third manicure for the summer and each time my nails smudged before I left the premises. Overall, it was a very relaxing afternoon. I would recommend the Elmwood spa if you are looking for a spa experience in Toronto. However, the Ste. Anne's Spa would be my first choice if you want to get out of the city.

All hands and feet services include a home care kit. At checkout I was given a gift bag which included the Elm Line Herbal Tea and the Elm Line Hydrating Body Lotion.

I love the Elmwood Spa. I've been there a few times, always as a special treat because it is really expensive. You've got to save up to go there, but it's worth it. It is a very relaxing atmosphere and the people working there really know what they are doing. As well, if you do have any problems they will very quick at fixing the problem - so long as you tell them. They have a wonderful "water therapies" area that can be used as long as you like with the purchase of any spa service. I would highly recommend this spa as a special treat to yourself!

I came here for a massage a couple of years ago, then again about a month ago with a gift certificate. Both times I left thinking I probably wouldn't go back. The staff can be a little snooty, it's overpriced, and the last time I was there the kept talking so I couldn't relax but the worst part was he was talking with his hands which meant he was not massaging me for about 30% of the time and they are really stringent on time, so he stopped to the minute and I felt kind of ripped off in general. Nice ambiance though. Lots of big bathrobes, nice pool, tea selection, etc. But I've had better massages and better overall experiences.
