The Cheesecake Factory - Raleigh

Gotta love this LA staple! Large menus with many dishes to choose from and great service. The chefs here are very innovative and are constantly adding new items to their usual rotation. Love their Shrimp Scampi and Jamaican Black Pepper Shrimp. The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. They are also famous for their delicious cocktail creations. Don't forget to sample some of their delicious breads. Yum!

I would not recomend this resturant to anyone, actually i would warn them dinning there. I've been twice and both experiences have been unpleasant.

About six months (10/25/09) ago I went with my boyfriend and his parents for his birthday and we waited almost an hour for out food. Yes, they were very busy but there was also a surplus of staff there. Our server came out and said he didnt know what happended so he had to take our order again. When he finally brought our food, my order was wrong but it was corrected. At the end of our meal we were offered free desert for our wait.

Last week (5/16/09)my mom took me out for lunch there. This time the place was less than half seated, it was not peak meal time...we ordered and waited. During that time we obsereved two things; one, the table behind us complained about their burger not being what they ordered, and two, another couple was seated next to us, ordered and paid before we ever recieved out food. At least our orders were correct.

For the amount of waiters and staff that are present in the restaurant at the time of our meals, service is very slow and unattentive. I am not saying that anyone is rude, eveyone has been friendly. It just seems like there are SO many people there walking around trying to LOOK busy. As for the food, it tastes like they cooked it and then left it sitting on the counter for 30 minutes before bringing it out to you (which could explain the wait...haha). Its just that the food doesnt seem very fresh to me and is WAY over priced for what you are getting, normally about 12 - 15 dollars per person. I think that you are wasting money and especially time eating here. Save your money, they should stick to just making cheesecakes.
