I received this as a sample in a monthly sample subscription box and I had it for a while before I even opened it and so when I finally did I wished I never bothered at all in the first place. I don't understand if this is supposed to be the way it was when I tried it but it was horrible to say the least, it didn't even stay on the eye it kind of crumbled off.
This liner works well enough. It's not my favorite but I do use it quite a bit. I'm not a huge fan of the applicator but the formula is nice. I like the shade of black and find it is not too matte or shiny.
I don't know if I just have yet to get the hang of this eyeliner but I find it way too difficult to use! I got it as a sampler with the Benefit palate (thank god) so it is a smaller size, but I can't get a good angle to use this liner and my wings are horrible! I will stick to my liquid liner from now on.
I was honestly excited to get this product but I was not happy with the come out of it. I love the deep black color and the mate finish of it but I find that it is a bit too dry for a gel liner. It dries out too fast and the tip is a bit tricky to use. The price is a bit too much for the eyeliner.
Honestly, I was really happy with this liner when I bought it. Now that I am coming to the end of the tube, I'm a little less excited.
The idea is totally there. Application is easy which makes it a great alternative for people who don't want to fuss with a gel liner + brush.
However, this stuff fades bad. By the end of my day, I've got half faded wings that are smudging at the edges. This is the total opposite of what I would expect, considering if you make a mistake while applying, you better get it off quick or else you're stuck with it.
Clicking the bottom to get more product basically does nothing. I end up having to squeeze the tip to get more out and if you get too much, it will crumble and gunk up your eyelashes. I usually end up clicking too much and come back to it the next with a whole bunch of product coming out of the tip.
Overall, will not be buying again.
I have this liner and the concept is great but it does tend to clump while applying it and it leaves gaps. I always have to lay black shadow on it in order to make a smoother line. The good thing is it's water proof but you better make sure the liner is put on and looks good or else it won't come off then you would have to use an oil based remover to start all over.
I was so excited about this product and after I visited the Benefit demo at Sephora and they applied it, I thought I found what I was looking for! Sadly, I've had nothing but issues applying it. Either too much comes out, or not enough.
I did not really like this product. It was very hard to apply and did not go on as smooth as I thought it would.
I'm not very good at putting on liner, and from the advertising I assumed that the soft tip would make this easy to apply. I grabbed it up the first day t was available and took to the mirror filled with the feeling that I had discovered the holy grail of eyeliner. I was disappointed in the application, though. It was difficult to judge how much product should be used and the actual angle that you must use the product to make it transfer to the skin is awkward. Once some liner is deposited, it might come off in chunky pieces or leave spots where nothing is. I am, however, majorly impressed with how long this stayed put once I achieved the desired look. I had absolutely no smudging, no transferring. I have hope for this product, but I'm not as impressed with the ease of use.
