I was lucky to receive this product for free to test as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club, and I have been using it for approximately one week as of this review.

I usually do not use bar soap, so I was interested to try this. Though I would prefer one of Dove's other scents (from the gofresh collection), the smell is fresh, clean, and not overpowering. I was surprised by how much lather I got from this bar, which was very enjoyable. I was also surprised by how soft my skin felt after using it. The soap was also definitely effective and left me feeling fresh all day. While I don't think I will make a complete switch from body wash to bar soap, I think I will use this soap occasionally when it's cheaper than body wash :)

Everybody who know's me, knows that I Love Dove! My home is filled with Dove products, and my teen son swears by Dove Men Care - even ditching his beloved Axe and replacing it all with Dove! So, when I received my sample of Dove Original Beauty Cream Bar in the mail, I was excited to try it out and review it.

I have to say that it came up short, and just didn't seem to moisture and lather my skin as well as my soap of choice. After only a few days, I set the Dove bar aside, and went back to using Olay. Sorry Dove - your prices are great, and this product is good - good enough to recommend - don't get me wrong - it's just what I've been using is better, and I'm not willing to give it up yet!

I normally HATE soap bars, but this one actually makes your skin feel moisturized! I am not crazy about the old woman smell, though.

The most notable quality of this product -- its creaminess -- may be both the best thing and worst thing about it, depending on how you look at it. It feels wonderful on the skin while bathing and afterwards, but consequently, I wonder how well it is really cleaning my skin. And because it is so creamy, the bar gets used up quickly. All in all, though, it's a nice treat in the shower. The scent is mild and didn't cause any irritation on my skin. My usual soap is a very basic, olive oil-based product that is dirt cheap. Would I switch? Perhaps...particularly during the driest months of winter and hottest months of summer, when my skin deserves some extra TLC.

My whole family enjoyed trying Dove Original Beauty Cream Bar. I love the way that it felt going on my skin and the way that my skin felt afterwards. My skin felt so soft and smooth and not dry at all. This is a little expensive for me to by but I will keep an eye out for coupons and sales. The only thing that I didn't really like about the product was the sent because I felt it to be to strong.

My skin is so soft after using the Dove Original Beauty Cream Bar. The scent is the cream bar was appealing to me too. I would recommend this product to women who are looking for a moisturizing soap, with a nice scent. I do however find the price a little high.

I liked the soap. It made my skin feel very smooth, without a hint of dryness. I didn't need to use moisturizer when using the Dove Bar.

HOWEVER, the scent is sooo strong, I ended up using it only a few times. I'll have to try the unscented product.

I'd recommend the product to anyone who likes heavy scent in their soap.

thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to try and review this product. My husband also tried it, and he is very picky about soap, but he kept trying to steal it from me! he wants me to buy it again, i find the price is a bit steep so will wait for it to go on sale and stock up. i loved the gentle scent, it was nice but not cloying or over perfumed. my skin is combination and the soap was good for that type, hubby is dry and sensitive (his skin, that is!) and it was great for that too!

I had to use my husband's soap and instead of feeling moisturized like I did with the Dove bar I felt dry. I wanted to shower again with my Dove so I'd feel better.

I have been using the free sample of the Dove Beauty Cream Bar now for the last week and I really love it!!!! It makes my skin feel so soft and moisturized when I'm finished my shower I don't even need to use creams afterwards. It is a bit stronger smelling at first then it does soften after use. I would recommend this to everyone. Thanks for letting me test it out!
