Just plain awesome! i am a student, so a good showercream/gel-whatever is something that i want (as i also am a beauty-nerd), but as that is the one product i probably use the most, i don´t want it to be too expensive. This is REALLY cheap and sooo good :) I use this in my shower, and often with exfoliating gloves. I have sensitive skin and sometimes i get excema. This does not irritate my skin, and i love the smell as well (of the original, which is the one i use). Lathers up really well, and is also great for shaving my legs. I often also cleanse my face with it in the shower, and it doesn´t irritate my face or break me out. Highly reccomend it :)

I have to agree with a few others that scent is a little overpowering.. not typically the type of scent I look for in a soap, but that being said, I found it to be amazing on my skin and love that it's gentle enough to use on my face. I found it to be an amazing cleanser, yet it didn't dry my skin out like most everything else does! I would definitely recommend this to all my friends in family!!

I have used Dove before but never reviewed it & it is not my regular soap. I would buy a soap with fewer chemicals.
Likes: the creamy texture, real beauty campaign, bar design, moisturizing effect. Skin did not feel dry (as promised!)
Dislikes: scent is too strong...you can smell it from inside the box. Once it is wet the scent isn't as strong but I would prefer fragrance free. Also few chemicals & no SLS or parabens.

I stopped using bar soap about a year ago because I hated how I didn't feel clean afterwards. Dove is an exception though- there was no soap residue and my skin was nice and soft all day. I definitely felt clean all day unlike the result I had received with other bar soaps. If you are going to get bar soap I would get Dove for sure. All of their products I tried are reliable and effective-not to mention you are supporting girls self esteem projects too which I really like.

Tried this product as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club.. I LOVE this product. The scent is pleasing, leaves your skin feeling clean and soft, and well moisturized. I will continue to use the sample sent to me and will purchase it myself as well. I highly recommend this product to any one, it's relatively gentle and would be good for anyone that requires more moisture for their skin. It even works well for shaving! Go ahead ladies, get your hands on a bar today!

I normally alternate between liquid and bar soaps but have found that often, bar soaps leave my skin feeling a little dry and sometime a residue remains after use. I was happy to have the opportunity to review Dove’s Original Beauty Cream Bar to see if this swayed me more one way than the other.

I did like the light, not overpowering, scent of the soap along with its creamy texture. I found that after using it, my skin was soft and even after not moisturizing a couple of times to see the effect, it was not dry.

That said, while I thought it was a good soap, I didn’t think any of its attributes were so outstanding that I’d necessarily make a switch to this soap. I’d probably give it a closer look if I was choosing between it and another soap, but my experience hasn’t completely swayed me.

I usually use a liquid body soap with extra moisture due to my dry skin. After trying Dove Beauty Bar my faith has been restored in bar soap, at least this one! This soap left my skin silky smooth and not itchy at all. Love it.

I was happy to get to try this as part of the Product Review Club!

I normally use both body wash and bar soap depending on the season, convenience, and how dry/oily my skin is feeling. I was excited to try this as I tend to use bar soaps after working out or when I'm feeling oily to try and wash away the residue that I can get with some body washes. I was hoping this would be a balance - a bar soap that does not strip too much, but offers some of the moisturization/protection that a body wash does,

I like the light scent - feminine but not overpowering once you rinse it off. Smells nice as you're showering. I do find that it leaves a light residue, similar to some of the cream-style body washes (like Olay). It probably gives some more moisture protection but I found that I still needed to use moisturizer afterwards. I don't know if this would cause me to break out in oilier areas like my back with prolonged use, but so far no major issues.

Overall, it's a less drying soap and would be a good balance between the different benefits of bar soaps versus body washes.

I recieved this product as part of the Chick Advisor Club. I tried it for 2 weeks in the shower and compared my skin and how it felt, to the product I was using before. I found Dove to leave my skin feeling super soft and clean. It smelled great, but I prefer I scented soap. The bar was easy to handle and I didnt find it to be slippery. The great smell stayed on my skin during the day, which I enjoyed. I did find that a bar soap maybe dries my skin out a bit more in comparison to a liquid soap. I did enjoy this product though, and would buy Dove.

I use this product as a face wash, because i have pretty dry skin on my face, and i brought it with me on a 3 night stay at camp. I have to say, this made my skin soooooooooo soft and moisturized after only a few uses. I could see if you had oily skin or maybe sensitive skin, that this may not work as a facial cleanser, although i know they make a bar for sensitive skin. I love how affordable this is, but as far as a body bar, I have no opinion on it.
