For myself I found more issue with the packaging than the product itself - I think 6 strips would have been more appropriate than 5 with the ability to use 1/2 portions. I noticed that the edges were sticky & stuck to the packaging, sometimes making it hard to remove from the packaging. The instructions didn't really tell you how many strips to use based on the weight of the fabric. I guess only time will tell how long they will last after several washes & if they leave any lasting damage. Thanks for the opportunity to share & review.

Best thing ever invented! Totally recommend it!

My son managed to put a huge split in his shorts. While I knew this was a bonding strip designed for hemming, I still wanted to give it a shot to test its 'staying power'. It wasn't until after I applied the strip that I realized that I couldn't possibly take the paper off or the strip would stick to his bottom.
All in all, it seems to be a great product that I would definitely recommend to others. I can't wait to find other items to hem.

Got this free from ChickAdvisor! After practicing with Scotch Essentials Adjustable Hem Strips I had the courage to try this permanent fix from Scotch Essentials. Pretty neat product! Fixing pant hems that come apart is now an easy fix without having them re-sewn at the tailors. An insta-fix!

Being able to try this product was a blessing. I have arthritis in my hands and have difficulty sewing. Using these strips was easy and pain free! My only wish was that I had more at the time, so I could hem more!

It is definitely useful when you need to mend immediately. It is really sticky when you put it on the pants, but it is not easy to peel the sticker. Besides, you need some skills to put them together well.
If you need your pants mended perfectly, then this strips need some works before you mending them.

I am tall and usually do not have the problem of needing to shorten my pants. However, I do have a couple pants that are just a bit too long and drag on the floor. This product does a nice job and easly shortening the length. It took some getting used to and I was afraid if I screwed them up, I would ruin my pants, but that wasnt the case. I havent washed my pants yet, so I cant comment of how durable they are in the wash, but I think they will be fine.

I received the Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips as part of the Beauty Advisor Club. I have tried this product on a pair of pajama pants that were slightly too long on me. The adhesive is very sticky, which is great for the purpose of the product, but you do have to be careful with it sticking to your fingers. The steps were very easy to follow and the total process was quick. I tried hemming one side of the pant leg on my own, but it was a lot easier to do the other side with my sister's help. The adhesive hasn't budged since I washed my PJs in cold water. This product was super handy, and I recommend having it in your sewing kit - especially for emergencies!

I received this product from free from ChickAdvisor and I prefer this much better over the adjustable hem tape. If you are going to go through with all of the work, might as well have it stay right? I can't sew at all, so this is a great permanent solution. I would not use this on very expensive and delicate pants but casual pants such as jeans, it works great. Be careful when applying the tape because once it is on, it is very difficult to get it off unless you do not mind scraping off glue from your pants.

I gave this to my sister to use for her wool work pants and she loves it. It was super easy to use and DOES stick well throughout the wash. The price is okay but she will probably buy it on sale next time.
