I love my rosebud salve. I'm actually of the opinion that this is overpriced, but the packaging and the pretty pink colour totally makes me happy - so I find myself replacing it as soon as I'm done with a tin. The texture is exactly the same as Vaseline and both do exactly the same thing to my lips, which are always super dry and chapped. But it's just not the same digging into a giant tub of Vaseline versus delicately twisting off the tin cap of the rosebud salve and dipping your pinky finger into the pretty pink balm. I'm peeved that the price of this thing is continually rising due to its increasing popularity. I do love it but if they don't stop raising the price, I may just go back to my unromantic tub of Vaseline.

This stuff smells good and I like the way it feels on my lips, very nourishing. This is a keeper. The only thing was maybe it was just mine but I have a hard time getting the lid off!

After hearing so many good things about this, I bought a tin. While I admit, it is a good price, I just could not like this. I am not a fan of the smell, but it goes away after a few minutes. I liked the idea of using this as a multipurpose lipbalm/body cream, but I found it was an average moisturizer on my hands/elbows, and if I was going to just be using a lip balm, I wanted one that I didn't get all over my fingers. It works well as a lip balm though, so if you like the smell and don't mind dipping your fingers in, you might really like this!

Love this product. I just realized have been using this since I was 16 years old, and I am now 23! The price ranges, but I've paid $6 at Sephora (sephora.com) and nearly $3 more at Vermont Country Store (Vermontcountrystore.com), when I paid $8.95; I guess I must truly love it ;-)

This is a sweetly, slightly-scented with rose aromol glossy lip balm. It has good lasting power. I actually prefer lip balm in stick or squeeze-on form. Pots, I find are too messy. I dislike the lip balm residue on my index finger. But, again, I do love my Rosebud Salve, so I put up with it.

The color is lightly tinted pink. I adore the old-school tin. I find the tin easy to open. Oftentimes, tins can be hard to open, but this one is not like usual tins. I definitely would like to try Brambleberry Rose and Strawberry Lip Salve in the future (also by The Rosebud Perfume Co.) :-D

    I. LOVE. THIS. PRODUCT.

Not only does it do a million things, but just the sight of the cute little tin in my purse makes me smile. It can be used as a lipgloss, on a dry cutical, on a blermish, and also apparently to treat diaper rash and detergent burns lol ... I have also used it to tame the odd cowlick in my hair, and also a teensy dab on the tops of the apples of my cheeks to get that je-ne-sais-quoi glow.

Some people have mentioned the scent being bad, but I personally love it. It is a cross between vaseline and roses ... what's not to like?

I would highly reccommend this product for the sheer joy of having an all purpose go to product in your bag at all times.

This is the only thing I carry everywhere with me. It's amazing and so versatile, it adds hydration and a nice sheen on your lips, can be applied to any dry spots on your body and I even use it on my eyelids when I don't feel like wearing eyeshadow. My lips tend to be a little drier and this ALWAYS works. It goes on really smoothly (unlike Burts Bees) and you dont need to constantly reapply. The little metal tin it comes in is also really cute. If you're looking for a great lip balm that does the trick, you won't be disappointed by this - I've gotten all my friends hooked on it!

Smith's Rosebud Salve is a lovely multipurpose product. I was a skeptic at first since how great can it be, especially if it supposedly does so many things? (Jack of all trades, master of none syndrome.) Among its many uses, it is a lip balm, a moisturizer, a zit treatment, a diaper rash treatment, etc.

I mainly use it for my chapped lips. It does a great job at conditioning them to a more manageable feel - much like my beloved Kiehl's lip balm but without the greasy feeling.

This past week, I also used it on the annoying zit on my chin that wouldn't go away, even though I attacked it with benzoyl peroxide and a good extraction attempt. A dap of the Rosebud Salve at night before bed and the next morning it had dried up! I am a convert! Nothing has ever worked of fast and effectively.

The smell is definitely rose as the name suggests. I don't find it overpowering or nauseating but I can see how others would. The salve comes in a tin which can get unsanitary but just remember to only apply with clean fingers and you should be fine. There is a lot of product so it will take a long time to get through the whole thing.

I like the product but I feel that it isn't as great as advertised. This product is just...glorified petroleum jelly.

Goods: It does a good job moisturizing, but I wouldn't use it as a regular lip moisturizer (not too sanitary to be putting your finger in there all the time). It does any ordinary job at moisturizing your lips. It's good as a cuticle moisturizer and a good for glossy makeup. Has good quantity and will last you a while. Cute vintage look.

Bads: It smells funky. Packaging could be better (the lid of the tin isn't very secure). Wouldn't even think of using it on my blemishes.

All in all, the hype around this product sold me but I don't think I will be buying it again. I'm better off sticking to vaseline.

The best thing about this is that you can't beat the price. And it lasted me forever because you only need a dab. It did feel like it moisturized my lips pretty well, but I thought it smelled really strange and the texture is pretty thick and sticky. The biggest problem is that I don't like products that come in jars or tins because I have to use my fingers (I'm a bit of a germophobe!). I wouldn't buy this again for a lip balm, but I would recommend it for dry cuticles and rough elbows & heels.

I like how it made my lips feel and look so smooth after one application but the scent makes me nauseous
