Good for price

I got recommended this shampoo for my blonde hair. It DOES take out the brassy was in the hair but not a whole lot. It does work better on dry hair tho and let it sit for 20 mins.

I love this purple shampoo!

I've tried numerous purple shampoos (a regular rotation must for blondes) and Clairol has a home run with their version. Shimmer lights is light, easy to use and doesn't stain hands, (nor my light coloured shower curtain 👍) This is truly my favourite purple shampoo as of yet and I'm a repeat buyer. I would love to see it be a bit more effective on first use so it doesn't have to be repeated for a few shampoos in a row ( my finding ) but until I find one that hits it out of the park, my loyalty lies here with Shimmering lights 💕

keep the brass out of you blonde or silver hair

I recently had some Silver highlights added to my hair, and was looking for a shampoo to help keep the yellow, and brassiness away. After searching reviews and you tube videos, I purchased Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo. I use it two ways, A couple times a week in the shower, leave on the hair for 5 minutes and rinse out. I find it works very well to keep the brassiness away. I also tried it on dry hair, as per some you tube videos, I applied the product to dry hair and let it sit for 1 hour before rinsing out, this technique really worked well for bringing back the silver colour to my highlights, I would probably use this technique monthly, as I do find this shampoo to be on the drying side, it works reasonably well for it's price point.

I have used this product on and off for about two years now. I only use it once a week, because it tends to dry my hair out. I find that it does help to get brassy tones out of my hair, but it's not a miracle worker. I like the smell of it a lot too. It is a tad bit pricey. So I only ever pick it up when it's on sale. I only use a little bit of this product so it usually lasts me forever !

I`ve been using this purple shimmer lights shampoo for a few months now and am very happy with it. It does a great job cleaning my hair along with keeping the blonde shade that I love. The scent isn`t my favorite but it isn`t a deal breaker for me.

Used this religiously on my blonde for years until I found another brand. It does work, but it's VERY pigmented, and on white blonde if you leave it on a touch too long you will go purple. My main complaint is the smell, and that's why I stopped using it. It's quite chemically smelling and I prefer a more salon type scent.

I am a brunette who went to blonde so you can imagine the potential of brassy tones was very high. This shampoo kept me a cool blonde and I was never brassy. It does have a distinct smell, but it's not bad, it's fine. The point is - it works.

I have used this product since highlighting my hair blonde. I find it works great. And my hairdresser thanks me every time I go in for using it. My hair stays blonde rather than turning yellow as it does with "normal" shampoos. I really like the smell of it. It gives you a very clean smell that lasts. I do find it a little pricey at 12-15 dollars depending on the size of bottle you purchase. But I pay it because it works great. I recommended this to every blonde I know. I will also say I have tried other brands and not had the same results.

I got highlights done and within a week they turned yellow and ugly. I tried this shampoo and after one ash I notice my blondes were almost white l. Super happy
