A friend of mine who lives in the area invited me out to Blowfish for dinner one night. I love the atmosphere...location, decor etc. The food is yummy...better than most sushi that I have tried. The price is killer though. If you are looking to take someone out to a fancy (pricey) restaurant and they are a sushi lover, Blowfish is a good choice. If you are just looking to go out and have sushi one night after work, I would recommend trying someplace else that will not put a huge dent in your wallet...

Blow Fish falls under the "pricey but worth it" category. Located on the trendy King West strip in an old bank converted into a restaurant, they serve up taste style and ambiance. The food is beautifully presented so it is almost as fun to look at as it is to eat. Try the blowfish giant ebi shooter for a truly unique visual and taste experience. Portions are small but decadent.

Budget about $150 - $180 for two people or if that is too steep, grab a seat at the bar for a cocktail and enjoy the tunes from their live DJ.

This is an amazing and cool place to go for Sushi. Really funky cool vibe, amazing presentation with dishes, and the food is just delicious. Incredibly fresh sushi with a lot of variety. It's pricy but worth it. This is a great place to go with friends or on a date.
