Saving Mr. Banks stars Tom Hanks and is a story about how Walt Disney finally after 20 years persuaded the author to sell him the rights to make the movie Mary Poppins. Anyone who is a Disney fan will love this film and story. There are actually two stories running alongside one another, Walts quest to get the author, P.L. Travers to sign her book Mary Poppins over to him and P.L. Travers story of growing up and getting to where she had. I found it highly entertaining and despite not being a huge Tom Hanks fan, I loved him in this film. Emma Thompson plays P.L. Travers in the movie and does an excellent job also!
