This is so light weight and absorbs quickly. It's great for oily skin. It doesn't keep your skin matte for the day but it doesn't make it more oily either.
I have a hard time finding a lotion with SPF that doesn't break out my acne prone skin, or irritate my sensitive skin, but this one works wonderfully. It keeps my skin matte and and protected all day.
This is very nice light weight moisturizer. It works well under makeup but it does give a slight white cast. I wish it had a higher SPF but some is better than none. If you have dryer skin you may want to skip as it doesn't smooth over dry spots very well or moisturize them well. But for combination or oily skin even if it is sensitive this works great.
This is the first moisturizer I've had that hasn't left my skin feeling too oily or still too dry. It's very light weight but it does a better job than most of the thicker lotions I've tried. I love the natural smell of the entire Seaweed line from The Body Shop.
This is a mattifying face lotion with a 15 SPF that really works!!!!
I have been using this for 2 years now. I found out how good the product really is this summer as I went to Rome in August with it. The air was very hot and moist, I was so glad I had this moisturizer. That country and the heat and moisture in the air was a real test for this lotion and it really works. It will moisterize semi dry skin but not turn the skin into an oil slick, even in 40 degree and higher temperatures. (Rome was having a freek hot spell that month).
Then I went to Greece, a different heat (dry) and I found I didn't have to reapply the moisterizer every second hour like I thought I would. I had 40 sun block with me but only really used it for my body as I found the heaviness of that product was making me breakout. I used this moisterizer as a sun block for most of the trip. That being said, I did use a paracel and when I could, kept my face out of the sun. I am blone, very fair skinned, burn easily. This has a sun block of 15 but it seam to work better than a 15.
Anyway if you have dryish skin, need a moisturizer but don't want an oil slick, would like to keep some makeup on your face, this is a great product.
The skin on my face is quite strange -- some days it's SO dry, it actually hurts a bit. Other days, it's so oily, I find myself grabbing a tissue and dabbing my face lightly, especially if there's makeup on it. I'm usually quite skeptical about the products from The Body Shop, but after buying this, my skepticism has diminished! Not only does this get rid of that irritating shine that I always have on my face, it also makes my face feel alot smoother and not super oily! Also, when I put makeup on afterwards, it tends to stay on longer and doesn't get all sticky and runny. All in all, a great investment for those that have combo skin on their face like me! I also suggest you look into the other Seaweed products that they have -- they all work great!
I love this facial lotion. When I went to The Body Shop I spoke to a sales associate, and she explained that the seaweed line is for people with combination/oily skin (like me!) I told her that I have used the Tea Tree Oil line before and although I have the occasional blemish, this line dried out my skin. She said that line is designed to reduce breakouts, but also to reduce oil, and suggested that since I have combination skin that I should go for the Seaweed line instead because it is designed to even out my skin – give it moisture where it needs it, and control oil when it needs that. I have to say this product did just that – it hydrated my skin, and it also helped to control shine in my t-zone. It also contains SPF 15 which I love, because I refuse to use a daily facial lotion that does not contain sunscreen. I highly recommend this product to anyone with combination skin, and suggest that you go into The Body Shop to check out the whole line.
