Brass be gone

The brassy tones are neutralised by this lovely shampoo! It smells wonderful, & does take the yellow out of the hair. On first use I was sure the purple would stain my hands but no such thing! A lovely little shampoo that does what it says on the tin.

Not the best!

When I tried for the first time I was really happy, my blonde hair was nice and my nails didn’t stained. After a couple of use my blond hair got darker more grey than blond. Altought That’s was the best purple shampoo I ever tried.

Does what it says on the tin.

I've used a few purple shampoos and although this isn't my favourite it is more affordable and as it does do what it says on the bottle it's a winner.

Love this

I really liked this shampoo. I find it comparable to salon products for sure. It really took the brassiness our of my hair. But I used it every time I washed my hair. Which is about twice a week. Great scent, and great price.

Worked well

My daughter used this product after getting highlights put in her hair. It kept them looking nice and not brassy. The smell was nice too. Wash out really well though or your hair will have a purple tint to it.

Good stuff

Have used John frieda for years but only recently tried this purple shampoo after using many different brands beforehand. Keeps my hair soft but takes away the brassiness, other purple shampoo make my hair feel like straw after using but this doesn't.

I would buy this product again and again

I have tried many other purple shampoos for blonde hair and have always had the issue with it making my hair feel dry and damaged and not doing the purpose but this shampoo is so different! I love it, it works great and leaves my hair soft and shiny rather than the competitors

Brassy tones are gone

I have been using John Frieda Violet Crush Purple Shampoo for a number of months now and it is one of the most cost effective purple shampoos I have found and more importantly it works on my fine hair. I have a problem with shampoos weighing my hair down because it is so fine but John Frieda Violet Crush Purple Shampoo takes all the brassy tones out of my blonde/grey hair without leaving it dry like other purple shampoos I have tried. I highly recommend John Frieda Violet Crush Purple Shampoo and it won’t break the bank when you purchase it.

Didn't see much of a change

I really loved the way this shampoo made my hair feel. It smoothed everything out and really cleaned my hair but I didn't see much of a difference when it came to remove any brassiness.

Removes brass from my blonde highlights

I found this shampoo overall effective in removing my yellow/orange tones from my blonde highlights. Most other violet shampoos are pretty drying to my curly hair, but this one didn't leave my hair stripped. The only downside is this product is not sulphates-free. Scent was pleasant. Would repurchase.
