So I recently purchased this chapstick for both my daughter and I since the Winter months are now upon us and that means bleeding and cracked dry lips! Ugh--so painful!! Last night was the first time we both applied it, which does tingle quite a bit. But to me that equals its WORKING! This morning, we woke up with beautiful soft lips. You couldnt even tell we suffered for so long!! I WILL DEFINITELY CONTINUE TO USE AND RECOMMEND THIS--ITS THE BEST OUT THERE!!! :)

This stuff is incredible. It heals your chapped lips and soothes the pain and sting. It works quickly. Drawbacks are that it doesn't taste great and it goes on kinda thick. But in my opinion it's worth it because of how quickly it heals.

I bought this after reading the positive reviews on here and wasn't disappointed! It moisturizes like crazy and is long lasting. The only thing I found was that the flavor wasn't my favorite...so try not to eat it :) It repaired my poor chapped and peeling lips in no time.

My lips get extremly chapped during the cold months and no lip chap has ever worked for me.
This year it got really bad , they started bleeding and my skin around my lips turned red. They were all covered in that white dry/dead skin and it was even on my skin around my lips. So i got the lip balm daily lip protectant (purple&gold;package) which moisturizes & protects dry/chapped lips and wow! I have been using it for only two days and my lips are smooth, not at all dry , the red around my lips is gone , and all the white stuff is gone ! It was very embarrasing and frustrating to have red, bledding lips and now in only two days my lips are back to normal :) What i also love about this product is that it made my lips look glossy like i was also wearing lip gloss and lasted a super long time before i had to put more on. It was a little pricey for drugstore stuff but it worked amazing and im happy to have smooth & soft lips again!

First things first. If you like to lick your lips or have a habit of doing so while wearing lip balm this ones not for you. The taste is medicinal yet works well and quick. It stays on and soothes cracked, sore lips right on contact. It is odorless which is nice for those who don't like walking around smelling like a fruit stand! There is no color and is not oily so contact with clothing is not a reason for another type of trama. Being that it is Polysporin it is a effective product to deal with cuts, reddness and sores. Try it for those days when just more than regular care is needed for great kissable lips!

I have also been using the orange and blue packaged Polysporin lip products and really love them!

The orange one in particular is a great everyday lip balm that packs a little punch. The menthol content is higher than other brands which might be too much for people who are sensitive to tingling or smells, but I love it - the cooling sensation stimulates.

The blue packaged one reminds me of Carmex, and is a little milder than the orange one. I do categorically dislike balms you have to dig your finger into each time you need it. It works great for cold weather days when your lips need a little more hydration. I haven't had really chapped lips yet this season, so can't comment on the effectiveness for that.

As for MissChickie's comment about waxy/heaviness, I think this is often the typical difference between a lip gloss and lip balm. You want the lip balm a little thicker to stand up to the elements and your insatiable need to lick chapped lips. The blue Polysporin is thinner than the orange one, so anyone who's bothered by the texture should start with that one.

Ta ta, Labello. There's a new kid in town.

Polysporin now makes lip balm. Who knew? They have come out with a line of 4 different lip products. I haven't tried them all yet, as 2 of them are intended for cracked lips, which I rarely get - even in winter. The one I have been using is the Daily Lip Care in the orange packaging.

    Here is what I like:

*I love the cooling effect from this lip balm. It has menthol and gives that nice tingly feeling.

*It lasts for a really long time.

*Taste. There really isn't much of a taste at all, which is a good thing.

    *Lips feel really moisturized.

Here is what I don't like:

    *Feels waxy

    *Can feel a little heavy.

Overall, a good thing to have in your bag. They also have one with SPF 15 in it, which I definitely plan on trying. I would say this has very similar qualities to Burt's Bees, however it isn't all natural and it has a waxier texture.
