Peaches 'n cream-complected young people need not apply, but the rest of us need a little help evening out skin tone, hiding sun damage, and masking enlarged pores.  That's where a proper foundation comes in.  There are two main ways to use this product: mineral powder (praised for its non-comedogenic and natural sun blocking properties) and liquid formulations (best for creating a dewy glowing look).  Be sure to change your usual shade by season to best match your natural tone.  If you can't decide between two shades, go for the darker one to give your complexion warmth and mask flaws better.

ChickAdvisor members give props to powdered foundations from Bare Escentuals bareMinerals, MAC Studio Fix Powder plus Foundation, and Maybelline New York Mineral Power Loose Foundation.  High marks for liquid formulas belong to Maybelline New York Dream Liquid Mousse, Marcelle New-Age Anti-Wrinkle Makeup, and Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation.
